Podcast Episode 10

This week’s podcast features music from  “Summer of Our Lives”, “100 Years”, “I’m A Chicago Cubs Fan” and “I Bleed Cubbie Blue” off the album “I Bleed Cubbie Blue” by Kevin Henrickson, available on his website.

This will be the final podcast until next spring, but I’ll still post new haiku to recall highlights of the 2008 season and as inspired by Cubs news during the off-season.  Please continue to add your great comments about favorite moments from this Division Championship year, what changes you’re looking for before next season, or to vent about the disappointing post-season.

It’s less than 135 days until the start of spring training, so get ready to be hopeful once again.

GO CUBBIES!

Podcast Episode 9

This week’s podcast, the last of the regular season (the Cubs best since 1945) looks forward to a possible final battle in the Haiku War and find satisfaction in the sadness of Mets fans after a come-from-behind victory by the Cubs earlier this week.

The opening and closing music is from “Inside Joke” by Little Thom.   This episode also features music from “This Is War” by Steven P. Richards and “Sad and Blue” by Melvern Taylor.  All of this week’s music was  provided by the Podsafe Music Network.

The opening and closing music is from “Inside Joke” by Little Thom provided by the Podsafe Music Network.  Additional music is from “Summer of Our Lives” off the album “I Bleed Cubbie Blue” by Kevin Henrickson, available on his website, and from Eddie Vedder’s new song for the Cubs “All The Way” available on the Pearl Jam website.

Podcast Episode 7

Some segments of this week’s podcast were recorded after I got home from Zambrano’s no hitter on Sunday, so my voice is a bit weak, for obvious reasons.

Along with the WGN Radio call of the final out of the no hitter, the podcast  includes a great guest haiku from Steve in Columbus imagining what a 1950’s Presidential candidate might think about one of this year’s big hurricanes.

The opening and closing music is from “Inside Joke” by Little Thom provided by the Podsafe Music Network.  Additional music is from “Hurricane Jane” by Collin Raye, also provided by the Podsafe Music Network, and from ““Ron and Pat” off the album “I Bleed Cubbie Blue” by Kevin Henrickson, available on his website.
